accessories

With a home base at the beautiful Lake Atitlan, we have the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with talented artisans, NGOs and women's cooperatives to create unique fashion accessories. The colors of Guatemalan handwoven and hand-dyed fabrics are soothing or vibrant, and always fascinating. Groups of women in San Juan develop their colors from natural dyes, such as plants, root powders and herbs. Their 'Jaspe' weavings reflect volcanoes, fish, waves, birds and other natural or spiritual phenomena. More traditional weavings are the women's blouses, called huipiles. These are embroidered with bright designs that indicate the woman's village and family. These beautiful and sturdy fabrics can be integrated into soft leather bags, purses and wallets. They are also often displayed by themselves.
